An offline machine is skipped. The button names how many scans started. Zero means none of your machines were online.

Open Patches

Open Patches. The heading is Acme. The tabs are overview and machines. Updates and jobs stay with Example Co. Scan my machines asks online agents to report again. It does not install. The tiles count only your machines: 1 of 3 inventoried, 2 missing updates with 1 still to review, 1 approved and not installed, none needing a security update, none waiting on a restart. This shot has not pressed the scan.

Press scan my machines

Press scan my machines. The button changes to scanning 0. Accounts server, files01, and Reception PC are offline in this picture, so no scan starts. Nothing is installed, and nothing is approved. A machine that is online would be asked to report again, and the number on the button would be how many of those scans started. The tiles stay as they were until a report comes back.

The tiles this button sits on are Inventory updates on your machines. One machine's list is Read missing updates on your machine. Asking about one row is Ask about one update on your machine. Your provider's scan, which can cover machines you do not see, is Review and approve missing updates.
