Check that a backup file is recent.

Health › checks. Pick File updated recently. The agent looks at the file's age on a schedule. You are still pushing a document, not a script.

A missing file fails the same way as a stale one. The alert is a check failure, and it clears when a newer file appears.

Pick File updated recently

Open the machine, then health › checks. The primitive is File updated recently. Path is the backup file. Max age is how old it may be, such as 26h so a nightly job has a little slack. Interval is how often the agent looks; an hour is enough for a nightly backup. Name it in plain words. Add a disk or ping check is the same editor for free space.

Add to list, then push

Press add to list. The check sits in the document. Push to agent is the next click, and it asks you to confirm. Push replaces the whole document. This shot stops before that, so nothing has been sent. When the file is missing or older than 26 hours, the alert is a check failure. It resolves when a newer file is there.

Checks list with a file-age check named SQL backup is fresh, not yet pushed
SQL backup is fresh is on the list. Push has not been pressed.

Push is a two-step button. The agent must be online to evaluate. You can still add the check while it is offline, and it applies at the next hello. Free space and a ping are the same editor. A file that must also be at least a certain size is Check that a file is large enough. A service that must be running is Check that a service is running.
